SEO and marketing of our web hosting service
Lately, we have seen a few companies trying to mimic our site wordings etc in order to rank higher in search results for their web hosting services. So, we decided to show them the taste of a proper SEO and marketing effort. We knew that we neglected doing this for quite some time. Two weeks ago, we got started with a clear strategy of improving the visibility and rankings of our Web Hosting Service. We started getting calls this week as a result of this! Last night we checked the rankings, and the results are quite pleasing (at least to us ;-) ). While this effort continues, we were disappointed by Google serving spam links, despite our complaints. Time to bug Matt Cutts on this!
Our 2nd year experiences
Due to workload, we couldn't cover this in our last post. Our second year of operating The UX Group has taught us some more lessons. While we continue to believe that persistence and hard work pays off, we are pleasantly surprised to note that a few companies are getting inspired by us and implementing our ideas at their workplaces. We do encounter other copycats, who just try to mimic us, thinking that it works!
While we are at it, we would like to inform that we ourselves have been inspired by a great company called Taos, which provides top-notch sysadmins (gurus). While Taos calls itself as "The SysAdmin Company", we are humble enough to call ourselves as "A SysAdmin Company". Our goal is to change that A to The, as we progress.
